About the Team


VIZIO is looking for a driven and creative Sr. Manager, Device Marketing to support our retail marketing and merchandising efforts.  The Sr. Manager, Device Marketing will collaborate with a cross-functional team in the marketing of products that include VIZIO’s line-up of Smart TVs and SoundBars, as well as our SmartCast operating system and entertainment experience. This is both a strategic and a support role that involves both B2B and B2C marketing– ensuring external customers (including retail channel partners), internal customers (device sales and merchandising) and trade press understand the value of VIZIO’s best-in-class devices and award-winning SmartCast operating system. 


In this role, the successful candidate will operate as the primary liaison between Marketing and the Sales and Merchandising teams, as well as an authority on all marketing matters related to the VIZIO value proposition across our devices and SmartCast features, functionality, and content.  The Sr. Manager, Device Marketing will support marketing efforts that span the full customer funnel and develop go-to-market launch plans for key product features, UX capabilities and content initiatives.


The Sr. Manager, Device Marketing will report to the Director, Performance Marketing.

What You Will Do

  • You will work with and support the device Sales and Merchandising teams to help define and drive VIZIO positioning and messaging, as well as create compelling sales and content enablement tools.
  • You will support the process by which product additions or enhancements are introduced into the product roadmap and the evaluation of their benefits to various stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • You will support the development and maintenance of marketing narratives and materials from both a B2C and B2B perspective.
  • You will develop market positioning, materials and processes to differentiate VIZIO and the SmartCast OS and experience in the marketplace.
  • You will influence the out-of-box experience for the purposes of driving customer acquisition and engagement.
  • You will continually evaluate the timely adjustment of marketing strategies and plans to respond to changing market and competitive conditions.
  • You will work cross-functionally with Retail, Brand, Corporate, and Content & Partner Marketing to communicate go-to market plans for new product features and capabilities.
  • You will work with and support the Merchandising team in the on-going effort to ensure retail channel marketing support, including point-of-sale opportunities and on-line retail communications.
  • You will support the product and marketing roadmap of upcoming features, and all associated materials.
  • You will work with internal and external teams on product and content launch timing and communicate this to stakeholders.
  • You will provide feedback and direction for internal and external creatives to stakeholders and agencies to ensure key objectives are met.
  • You will assist in conducting frequent qualitative and quantitative research in order influence product roadmaps and marketing strategies.
  • You will regularly report on marketing campaigns and provide optimization recommendations.
  • You will conduct and track competitive activities and formulate actionable takeaways.

About You

  • You have 8+ years of Marketing experience in the connected device, entertainment, and retail verticals.
  • You have a solid understanding of the device and/or connected device marketing operating system, and entertainment landscapes, and streaming/entertainment platforms and interfaces.
  • You have demonstrated experience leading marketing initiatives that support both on and off-screen consumer engagement, as well as retail channels.
  • You have demonstrated experience in results-based, performance marketing strategies and tactics, as well as direct-to-consumer initiatives.
  • You have demonstrated experience managing the marketing process to ensure the support and success of consumer engagement tied to revenue initiatives and retail sales.
  • You have proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, such as product and insights, and execute go-to-market strategy.
  • You will analyze and utilize internal data assets to improve and communicate the VIZIO value proposition and the on-going dialogue with consumers, internal constituents and external customers.
  • You have a passion for the connected TV experience and uncovering insights and a successful track record translating them into actionable product marketing plans.
  • You possess the ability to tackle multiple projects at once, synthesizing each project goal and objective, and laying out a strategic plan to tackle each one while effectively monitoring progress and key milestones.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively and professionally cross- functionally as well as with our external partners.
  • You possess strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence teams and individuals as well as effectively leverage and utilize resources and relationships for optimal results.
  • You have distinctive problem-solving and strategic thinking.
  • You are motivated, self-starter, always looking to share acquired knowledge with others and actively seeks to apply within own projects.
  • You are detailed-oriented, organized, and experience with project management.
  • You have exceptional PPT and presentation skills – with experience in presenting to all levels, including senior executives, both internally and externally.
