About the Team

VIZIO’s Advertising Technology Innovation team is looking for a seasoned, empathetic, and motivated Director of Product Management to help lead the product team to drive the next stage of our ad tech stack offerings.  The position can be held in one of several offices (San Francisco, Dallas, Denver, Irvine, New York), and is responsible enabling the product team to deliver roadmap for VIZIO’s ad tech stack.  We are a close-knit team, focusing on challenging problems that provide growth in our business.  We concentrate on high-impact, high-value capabilities, and in this role, you will be responsible for leading the team in that initiative.  You will report to the VP of Product Management for Ad Tech.

 

What You Will Do

  • Help establish OKRs for team members, and enable them to deliver meaningful business value
  • Unblock your team, drive delivery, while helping mentor them on career progression
  • Help the team craft a unified roadmap that addresses our business’ OKRs, partner with Program and Product Marketing to make it happen
  • Roll up your sleeves and help the team when needed
  • Partner with leaders / business stakeholders to evangelize your team’s work, drive adoption, etc.
  • Get deep with the business – where our dependencies are, who are the people involved, what assets we have available internally, and help the team navigate
  • Hire and lead additional product managers to help us tackle an ever-scaling set of challenges

About You

  • You have 8+ years of experience in Product Management
  • You’ve lead teams of Product Managers to deliver an evolving offering
  • You’ve coached teams to ensure that engineering investment nets to real world ROI (just shipping code is not success!)
  • Lead with empathy – you are focused on building individuals in a team to be their best selves and help them focus on career goals along side with business objectives
  • Are a fantastic communicator, who can drive alignment with engineers, stakeholders, and executives alike
  • You operate collaboratively – delivery means everyone is successful, and you help your teams get there
  • You help teams be both accountable for delivery and learn from mistakes and help them apply those learnings in future programs
  • You’re intensely curious; “but how” and “why” are your calling cards
  • You seek to understand market problems, customer challenges, and business challenges through empathy, and know the right time to just listen
  • Can create clarity in an otherwise complicated ecosystem with many moving parts
  • You do all the above as a leader that motivates the team
  • Experience in advertising technology offerings at a well-known organization (e.g., DSP, SSP, Ad Servers)
