VIZIO is looking for a driven and creative Manager, Event Marketing to support our trade and industry event efforts and participation.


We are a fast-paced team, and we are looking for someone who excels at partnering with multiple internal stakeholders in order to drive consensus and deliver results.The Manager, Event Marketing will report to the Director, Corporate Communications.


What You Will Do

The Manager, Event Marketing will collaborate with a cross-functional team and internal stakeholders in the development and management of a trade event calendar that spans B-to-B events in both the media and device verticals.. This is a support role that involves end-to-end event and conference planning and execution– ensuring internal customers, external vendors and various partners understand the value of VIZIO’s best-in-class devices and award-winning SmartCast operating system. 


In this role, the successful candidate will operate as the primary liaison between Corporate Communications and the Sales and Merchandising teams, as well as an authority on all marketing matters related to the VIZIO value proposition across our devices and SmartCast features, functionality and content.  The Manager, Device Marketing will support marketing efforts that span the full customer funnel and develop go-to-market launch plans for key product features, UX capabilities and content initiatives.


  • You will manage the day-to-day planning and execution of corporate and client-facing events, industry conferences, and trade shows, including pre- and post-event communications and attendee management
  • Negotiate and execute contracts for both large and small scale events
  • Collaborate across departments to contribute to meeting design, agenda development, brand building, and event communications and marketing
  • Partner with content team to develop strategies leveraging existing content and access to industry communities to promote events and tradeshows
  • Communications: provide consistent and clear communication of events program to all stakeholders, including internal briefing documents for specified events and conferences.
  • Work alongside the Marketing team to design, document, and execute innovative multi-channel marketing programs for events.
  • Manage event systems, including effective provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of event systems.
  • Collaborate with promotional & print vendors and maintain the best relationship possible with those vendors.
  • Budget Management: You will oversee, manage, and wrap-up event budgets with internal teams and vendors
  • Provide ongoing marketing support and material development for all event initiatives
  • Manage and execute events starting with the RFP process, through vendor contracting, planning, registration and on-site execution
  • Source new venues / locations for upcoming events
  • Assist in evaluating ROI for all events
  • Work as a shared resource to the sales force, and other corporate departments, in support of their event needs
  • Work closely with the Director, Corporate Communications, in strategic planning of events calendar as far as two years in advance
  • Plan, coordinate and execute additional, ancillary events as they arise.

About You

  • You have 5+ years of experience in the corporate and marketing events industry.
  • You have a solid understanding of the device and/or connected device and entertainment landscapes, and streaming/entertainment platforms.
  • You have demonstrated experience leading event-centric initiatives that support multiple business areas, including media, retail and finance.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to manage event planning, budgets and schedules.
  • You possess the ability to tackle multiple projects at once, synthesizing each project goal and objective, and laying out a strategic plan to tackle each one while effectively monitoring progress and key milestones.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively and professionally, both cross- functionally, as well as with our external partners.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to work successfully with external vendors and event partners.
  • You possess strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence teams and individuals as well as effectively leverage and utilize resources and relationships for optimal results.
  • You have distinctive problem-solving and strategic-thinking abilities.
  • You are a motivated self-starter, always looking to share acquired knowledge with others and actively seeking to apply that knowledge to your own projects.
  • You are detailed-oriented, organized, and have experience with project management.
  • You have exceptional PPT and presentation skills – with experience in presenting to all levels, including senior executives, both internally and externally.
  • You are proficient in various event app and event registration software products, as well as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Adobe Experience Manager.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree; marketing concentration preferred.
  • You have project management and contract negotiation skills.
