The Privacy Analyst will assist in ensuring the effective implementation and oversight of VIZIO’s Privacy Program, including maintaining and executing privacy policies, procedures and guidelines, and adherence to regulatory requirements applicable to the sale and manufacture of internet-connected devices.

 

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of a wide range of cross-functional privacy and data protection projects.
  • Assist in the operational day to day responsibilities of implementing the Privacy Program including responding and reviewing third party assessments, completing privacy impact assessments, and maintain internal privacy-related notices, policies, guidelines, standards, and processes.
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries related to privacy matters by managing ticket queues and providing timely, thorough responses. 
  • Assist with third party vendor assessments and outside audits, specifically addressing the sharing of personal data or the integration of any technical system and/or software.
  • Work with various business groups to conduct Privacy Impact assessments related to product and associated technologies and vendors.
  • Partner with internal legal and privacy experts to monitor and report upon the various data privacy laws, regulations, contractual obligations and industry best practices relating to data privacy and our product compliance obligations.
  • Build strong partnerships across all of VIZIO’s business units including, legal, product, engineering, business development, finance, sales and marketing to ensure that all products, offerings and practices comply with data privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with project management and privacy program organization.
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

  • You have a bachelor’s degree. Degrees demonstrating focus on the intersection of technology, project management, compliance and policy are particularly applicable
  • You ideally have prior privacy experience
  • You have familiarity with information technology (applications and architectures) used in enterprise system
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You have 2-4+ years of experience (preferably with a focus on privacy and/or regulatory compliance)
  • You ideally have a CIPP certification 
  • You have technical knowledge to effectively partner with product, engineering, information security, and data / business development teams
  • You have excellent research, interpersonal skills
  • You have a sense of humor
  • You have comfort with managing several matters simultaneously in a dynamic workplace with an assortment of individual work and team-oriented projects
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have strong project management skills - ability to organize and prioritize work
