About the Team

VIZIO’s Marketing team is seeking a strategic & highly creative Senior Marketing Manager to lead Content & Partner Marketing efforts. The Senior Manager will collaborate with several cross-functional teams to deliver an engaging, best-in-class viewing experience to VIZIO customers. Through heavy partner management & client interfacing with the top streaming services and channels, this role will develop unique 360-content promotions and exclusive partnerships/offers that differentiate VIZIO and our SmartCast entertainment experience in the market.

 

In this role, the successful candidate will be able to quickly develop briefs, one-sheets, collateral, and presentations that articulate the VIZIO value proposition, apply our goals & strategies into every interaction with content partners, and translate into compelling activations across VIZIO marketing channels.

 

The Senior Manager will serve as an authority on all marketing matters related to the content experience on SmartCast, with the ability to ‘whip up’ creative concepts, taglines, and editorial copy, have exceptional presentation building and delivery skills, have the charisma and diplomacy to navigate internal stakeholder needs, and be a reliable and confident internal & external partner.

 

We are a fast-paced team and looking for someone who has deep experience in the television, media, and OTT landscape, as well as a proven track record of partnering with Fortune 100 brands and balancing multiple internal stakeholders to drive consensus and deliver results. The role will serve as the Director of Content & Partner Marketing’s right-hand and will manage a team of 3 direct reports.

 

What You Will Do

  • Lead 360 editorial marketing campaigns that showcase SmartCast’s deep & diverse content offering, from messaging and creative development to execution and post-campaign recaps and analysis.
  • Identify and develop new on & off-device marketing tactics and opportunities to increase viewership, drive SVOD subscriptions & TVOD transactions, support TV/sound bar sales with in-store point-of-sale promotions and provide added value within Ad Sales proposals.
  • Optimize and maintain day-to-day planning & tracking tools for organization visibility; master content calendar, seasonal tentpole calendar, new app & channel onboarding, GTM plans, campaign management, routings, bi-weekly reports & updates.
  • Create elevated internal communication tools for senior management updates.
  • Develop elevated go-to-market campaigns to drive awareness for new content apps and channels on SmartCast.
  • Conceptualize & package custom promotions with exclusive offers for VIZIO customers that drive sign-ups for partner streaming services.
  • Identify tier 1 tentpole or content events with unique marketing assets to drive deeper engagement and time spent.
  • Create and deliver SmartCast overview presentations to key audiences: content partners, retailers, press, agencies, and internal teams.
  • Partner with Programming, Ad Sales, and Insights & Analytics to help define general platform engagement metrics, data points, and audience profiles.
  • Support VIZIO’s new content initiatives with positioning, messaging, creative, and go-to-market campaigns that enrich the content experience.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders including Business Development, Programming, Content Operations, Product, Ad Sales, Consumer Marketing, Creative Services, and Retail Merchandising. Maintain a constant flow of information between teams that is critical to the day-to-day business.
  • Develop and leverage an in-depth understanding of SmartCast users, specific to content app and channel partners, to inform content selection for on & off-device promotion.
  • Create consistent cross-channel messaging that articulates the value pillars of SmartCast content offering & experience.
  • Use a data driven and analytical approach to develop the most effective campaigns to grow and engage viewers.
  • Communicate with key app and channel partners to source assets and obtain approvals.
  • Oversee the performance tracking and analysis of ongoing partner campaigns, and delivers comprehensive partner recap presentations

About You

  • 8-10+ years of developing and executing 360-content & partner marketing campaigns in the entertainment, content distribution, network, or streaming service industry.
  • Solid understanding of TV consumption patterns and user behaviors on connected devices, streaming services, traditional cable, and broadcast.
  • A love for all types of content, a tv & movie-buff who follows industry trades to stay current with new releases, premieres, finales and their available platforms.
  • An innate ability to keep up with and understand what is relevant, on-trend and outdated.
  • Demonstrated experience developing campaigns that drive clear & measurable goals; product sales, platform engagement, subscriber acquisition, launch awareness and customer retention.
  • An eye for spotting big ideas and opportunities that leverage partner assets in creative ways that go beyond tune-in.
  • Experience managing creative & marketing agencies with proficiency in asset specs, creative guidelines, and video production vernacular.
  • Proficient in routing campaign tactics with internal teams and external partners for review & approval. 
  • Obsession with detail and creating process, bringing in your own best practices, tools & templates.
  • Ability to assess, optimize and interpret campaign performance
  • Understanding of digital media and analytics to extract key data points and narratives
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
    • Experience communicating and presenting to upper management, internal stakeholders, and external clients
    • Wizard with PPT and Keynote; strategic storytelling, building, and formatting with impactful visuals & graphics
  • Experience managing and developing 2-3 direct reports and leading cross-functional teams on key initiatives.
  • AirTable experience preferred, but not mandatory
