About the Team

VIZIO is seeking an Environmental Stewardship Manager to join their growing Legal Team in our Irvine Headquarters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support VIZIO’s environmental stewardship programs. This position will report to the Director, Compliance and Policy Counsel.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of VIZIO’s North American electronic waste recycling stewardship program.
  • Assist in identifying compliance risks related environmental stewardship laws and regulations and developing actionable plans to address risks in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that internal and external environmental stewardship compliance reports, including reports and annual registration fees to state governmental environmental agencies, are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Conduct annual or bi-annual RFPs for VIZIO’s North American electronic waste recycling stewardship program. Assist in vendor selection and ongoing vendor management.
  • Conduct and/or organize annual audits of VIZIO’s third-party electronic waste recycling vendors and partners, including potential onsite audits as needed.
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts as needed, managing internal approval of vendor payments and cost accruals, and identifying cost savings opportunities as appropriate.
  • Partner and collaborate with industry stakeholders and groups on environmental stewardship best practices.
  • Assist in the development of new environmental stewardship programs as necessary.
  • Assist in other environmental and corporate sustainability/social responsibility programs as assigned.

About You

  • 4+ years experience with vendor management, preferably with recycling or waste management related vendors
  • 4+ years experience with regulatory compliance, preferred
  • 4+ years experience with environmental stewardship programs, recycling, or related experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
